Introducing Live Scan: Instant Website Snapshots for Exact Match Domains
We're excited to introduce Live Scan, a new dotDB feature designed to help you quickly understand what is actually built on Exact Match Domains.
Starting today, you'll notice a new lightning icon next to the Keyword Domain Extensions section in dotDB web search results. When you click the lightning icon, dotDB will instantly scan all Exact Match Domains for that keyword and generate fresh website snapshots based on the current live websites.
After the scan is complete, you can simply hover over each extension to preview the website behind that EMD. This allows you to quickly identify active websites, parked pages, developed brands, businesses, landing pages, and other real-world usage, without manually opening every domain one by one.
All website snapshots will be stored for 7 days. After 7 days, you'll need to run Live Scan again if you want to view fresh snapshots for the same EMDs.
Live Scan is especially useful when you want to:
- Evaluate how a keyword is being used across different extensions
- Discover active businesses and developed websites
- Better understand the commercial landscape behind a keyword
- Save time when researching domain opportunities
- Quickly separate developed websites from parked or inactive domains
This feature is not limited to Expert or Enterprise users. We're making Live Scan available across all dotDB paid plans:
- Basic: 100 EMD scans per month
- Pro: 300 EMD scans per month
- Expert: 3,000 EMD scans per month
- Enterprise: 3,000 EMD scans per month by default
