Important updates on our subscription terms and new limitations
You may already know that our PayPal account was permanently suspended not long ago. Fortunately, with the assistance of many of our members, we were able to regain access to it and have now restored it as a payment option on dotDB. However, PayPal informed us that lots of people asked for their money back, argued about payments or asked for a refund from our account. This was the primary reason for our suspension of PayPal usage. If we do not improve the situation, they may suspend us again in the future.
PayPal has suspended dotDB permanently without explanation. (Updated)
We regret to inform you that our PayPal account has been permanently suspended because of someone's persistent abuse of our services and a miscommunication with PayPal. Unfortunately, this means that we can only accept credit cards as a payment method for now. We are actively seeking assistance to recover our PayPal account and restore it as a payment option.
We Are Now Accepting Credit Card Payments!
We are thrilled to announce that we are now accepting credit card payments, in response to numerous requests from those without PayPal! You can choose to subscribe to the Expert Plan or the 7-day free trial of the Pro Plan using a valid credit card or a PayPal account. Furthermore, you can still cancel the Pro Plan subscription before the end of the trial period, even if you have used a credit card, and you will not be charged for it.
How to use dotDB to rank domains
Notice: this is a guest posting by Kassey Lee
I look at a lot of domains every day in order to hunt for a few good ones. dotDB helps me rank them so that I can focus on the most important domains first. Since I manage domains with Microsoft Access, it is natural for me to use its VBA programming language to access dotDB via its API. I first talked about it last year at https://dotdb.com/news/2019-09-08/vba-api-access-example .
In this article, I'll explain the two keys provided by dotDB that I use to rank domains. For details on the API, please refer to https://dotdb.com/api-document/. When you call dotDB, it returns a response in the Json data format. The data contains the following two keys.
Making it simple to identify Active / Inactive / Parking Domains!
We are always striving to help our customers increase their productivity. Therefore, we have incorporated a range of new features into our platform, based on feedback from our users. So far in 2020, both our Expert Plan and Pro Plan have benefited from the addition of 'Sorting by TLD counts' and 'Filtering by length' features respectively.
- Sorting by TLD counts feature for Expert Plan
- Filtering by length feature for Pro plan
Example of Accessing the API Using Excel VBA
Kassey Lee, a successful domain investor and marketing professional, has been using dotDB to increase his productivity and keep him competitive in the industry. Not only does he use dotDB to check domain names, he also uses the API access feature to automate his daily routine. This allows him to focus on making decisions rather than wasting time on mundane tasks. While it may sound complicated, it's actually not. Today, Kassey has shared a simple VBA program that can be used to query dotDB through API access.
You can integrate dotDB with your own system
Two weeks ago, we released Bulk Search, a revolutionary domain name research tool that multiplies your productivity by up to 100 times. And now, to take it even further, we are announcing the new API Access feature for Expert Plan subscribers. With this, our customers will be able to access search results programmatically, meaning they can integrate dotDB search into their own systems and workflows to more easily evaluate domain names and keywords.
Now you can search in bulk!
Doing domain research can be time-consuming and inefficient if done with the wrong tools. But now, in 2018, you can use modern tools like dotDB to perform research and gain a competitive edge in the market. dotDB is excited to announce the availability of Bulk Search on the Expert plan.
The Export Data feature has been launched
The feature of Export Data has been a long-time request from our customers. Good news! We are delighted to announce the launch of the Expert Plan and the Export Data feature. Now, you can download the complete search result as a CSV file.
We have Multiple Keyword feature here!
Two weeks ago, we announced that the new multiple keyword feature was on its way, and now we are delighted to share that it is available to all Pro plan users. Our fantastic engineering team worked hard to make sure it was ready in an incredibly short timeframe.
Multiple keyword is coming!
A big thank you to all the early adopters of the dotDB Pro plan! We've listened to your feedback and have been working hard to make dotDB the most advanced domain research tool in the world. We're excited to announce that soon we'll be adding a new multiple keyword search feature to the Pro plan. This feature will allow you to search for more than two keywords at once by simply separating them with a white space or a plus symbol (+). For example:
